"One, remember to look up at the stars not down at your feet.

Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away.”
Wise words from Stephen Hawking

OIL & GRAIN ISSUE 25-Ritual Vitamins.jpg

I struggle knowing what vitamins I should be taking. With so much information out there it's tough to understand exactly what my body needs. I think I stumbled up on Ritual via Instagram, the founder, Kat, was doing a guest story on another account telling her personal story of how when she became pregnant with her first babe. She did a purge of personal & household products with ingredients she couldn't get behind coming into contact with her unborn kiddo. It was eye opening for me about how many sneaky bad-for-you ingredients are in so many things. She couldn't find a prenatal vitamin she trusted, which is nuts, so she made one. Read all about Ritual vitamins on their website. It's jam packed with research and information on why they choose the ingredients and suppliers that they do. Another fab perk? You can sign up for their subscription service which means they automatically send you a new bottle monthly!

I'll consume anything Oprah

so it's no surprise I listened to Goop's first podcast because the queen was her guest. My favorite part? The bit about intention. Listen to it here.

Issues with redness?

I've always had some kind of problem with areas of redness on my face [insert annoyed look here]. It forced me to use concealer or foundation to cover it up & being a creature who wants to make life easier for myself, I want to use as few products on my skin as possible. Yet, there I was, walking into Sephora looking for yet another concealer that would work better than the ones I'd tried previously.
I was skeptically steered towards Cicapair after repeating multiple times "I want a concealer not a moisturizer", he kept nodding at me & smiling as he moved away from the makeup over to skincare & I of course followed because what else was I going to do?
He hands me Cicapair & tells me how it's going to cover up my redness, that the active ingredient, tiger grass, has been used as a recovery system for wounded skin. It's going to be really good for my skin he says, it won't clog my pores, it doesn't replace my moisturizer, & it contains an SPF. Ok fine, I'm listening at this point but STILL stealing glances at the concealer section.
So then he tells me to put it on.
I apologized for doubting him as we strolled to the register & I'm sure he stood there with a smug smile on his face as I joyously pranced out of the store, hugging my new Cicapairpurchase.

I will never not own Cicapair. It covers my redness, doesn't get weird, flaky & dry like concealer can, in fact it's improved the condition of my skin. If you have issues with redness I highly recommend it! Read more about it here.
