If you run, you’re a runner. This guide is for the everyday champion that wants to/does incorporate running into their fitness routine. I’ve created an awesome mix of 30 RUNNING DRILLS that will boost your running performance; speed, endurance and power, while burning fat, building lean muscle and improving your cardiovascular health.

The workouts are a mix of HIIT, Intervals, Progression, Hills, and Endurance work with a couple of Strength/Running Circuits tossed in because, why not!

They range in length from 10 minutes to 60 minutes, with the majority sitting in the 20 minute to 40 minute range. The guide was developed with the treadmill in mind however 75% of the drills can be done outside, so if you don’t have access to a treadmill, no problem!

The treadmill is a classic piece of gym equipment that never goes out of style and access to the great outdoors is almost always accessible. Sure I’ve heard that running is boring but time flies when you’re focused on a drill, adjusting speed and incline and seeing your success!

The guide flows from beginner to intermediate/spicy workouts HOWEVER most drills can be modified to suit all levels. Increased speeds will level up ‘beginner’ drills and decreased speeds + walking vs. jogging to recover will dial back an intermediate drill for example.

It’s laid out in ‘weeks’ that you can follow along with as a progression, with 3 workouts/week, well balanced, to avoid repetition and overload. You do not have to follow the weekly workout progression if you don’t want to. The theme and length of each drill is listed at the beginning of the guide so you can pick and choose what you run based on what you’re in the mood for/have time for, etc. Weeks 1 and 2 are geared towards beginners, the remainder of the weeks are great for intermediate+ runners.

THE OG FIT TREADMILL GUIDE IS FOR:

  • Beginners through to Intermediate/Advanced runners that are looking for new ways to add to their training. Workouts can always be repeated, dialled back and levelled up. Intermediate+ runners following the program have seen improvement in their endurance and time. Those just starting out can repeat the beginner drills as many times as they want before progressing to a more challenging drill.

  • Those that do and don’t love running. Your time running flies by when you you’re challenging yourself in a variety of ways varying speed, incline and programming.

  • This is NOT a specific race training guide, it’s a progressive program that’s optional to follow. A great cardio addition to a strength training routine, perfect for anyone that wants to run but make it interesting, and an effective way to burn fat and improve overall health.
